What we collect and why

What we collect

One thing: if you ask to be told when the home dashboard is ready, we store theemail address you enter and the ZIP code you were viewing, along with a record of when you gave consent and which page you gave it on.

Two other parts of the site ask for more, and only when you use them. Ahome dashboard account holds an email address, a ZIP, and — only if you tick the box for it — a street address; that is described in full further down. Theproject brief at /start/ asks for afirst name and an email address, and its optional contractor-request step asks for a phone number. Nothing on this site asks for a payment detail, a date of birth, or a government identifier.

Why we collect it

To send you one message when the home dashboard launches. The ZIP tells us which metro to mention. That is the entire purpose.

Nothing is stored unless you consent

The signup form has a consent checkbox, and it is not decorative: the server refuses the submission without it, and the database itself rejects any record that does not carry consent. If you fill in the box and change your mind before ticking it, nothing about you reaches us.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell or rent your email address to anyone, and we are not running an advertising business against it. We have never passed a homeowner's details to a company offering to do work, and we will not start doing it silently — the section below says exactly what would change and when.

Two services we pay to run the site do see some of your information, because they cannot do their job without it. Both are named below.

How to be removed

Email privacy@texashomeintelligence.comand ask, and we will delete your record. You do not have to explain why, and you do not need an account to ask.

Services we use to run the site

Three, and this is all of them.

• Cloudflare hosts the site and holds the database. Everything described on this page is stored there.
• Resend delivers our email. To send you a sign-in link or a weekly summary, we hand Resend your email address and the message — one recipient at a time, never a list. It is a delivery service, not a marketing platform, and it does not get your address, your reminders, or anything else.
• Slack tells us when someone signs up, so we know the site is working. That notification contains the ZIP code and the time and nothing else — not your email address, not your street address, not your name.

Analytics

Page analytics are currently switched off. No analytics script loads on any page of this site right now. If we turn them on, the tool will be Google Analytics 4 and this page will say so before it happens. Either way we do not send your email address, your ZIP, your street address, or anything you typed to an analytics provider.

If you have an account

A home dashboard account holds a little more, and only what it needs:

• Your email address — how you sign in. There is no password: we email a link that works once and expires in fifteen minutes, so there is no password of yours for us to store or lose. Condition alerts appear on your dashboard when you are signed in; we do not currently email them.
• Your ZIP code — which county's readings your dashboard shows.
• Your street address, only if you tick the box for it — it is optional, it is stored separately from the rest of your account, and everything on the dashboard works without it. It does not buy a reading about your specific house; every figure we publish is county- or metro-level.
• Your reminders and what you have marked done — the dates you entered and the dates you completed things.
• Which alerts you switched on.

We do not track which pages you read while signed in, and we never send your email address, your street address, or anything you typed into a reminder to an analytics provider.

Companies we introduce you to

Nothing on this site does this yet. No tool asks for a job today, nothing has been shared with any company, and there is no list of companies. This section is here because we are building it, and a description of what will happen to your information belongs on this page before it happens rather than after.

Here is what it will be. Some tools will end by asking whether you would like us to find companies who can do the work. That question is a separate step with its own button. Using a tool, reading its result, or having an account never triggers it. If you do not answer it, nothing leaves this site.

What we would share, and with whom

If you say yes, we would send a company your first name, your email address, the job you described, and the area you are in — and your phone number only if you gave us one. We would send the description of the work you wrote. We would not send your dashboard, your reminders, what you have marked done, or anything you entered elsewhere on this site.

The companies do not already exist

This is the part most worth being clear about, because it is the opposite of how these services usually work. We do not have a network of companies waiting. When you ask, we go and look for companies that do that particular job in your area, and we approach them. That takes time — it is people making enquiries, not a form hitting a database. Companies we find this way may be ones we contact again for later requests.

What an introduction is not

We do not inspect your home, diagnose the problem, or supervise the work. We do not check licences, insurance, bonding, or complaint history, and we do not rate or rank anyone.An introduction is not a recommendation and not an endorsement. We are telling a company that you are looking; deciding whether to hire them is entirely yours, and so is asking them for their licence, their insurance, and their references.

Changing your mind

Email privacy@texashomeintelligence.comand we will stop. If we have not sent your details to anyone yet, nothing goes out. If we already have, we will tell you which companies received them and ask each of them to delete what we sent — and we will say plainly that we can ask, not compel.Information already in someone else's hands is out of ours, and anyone who tells you otherwise is overpromising. Their own privacy practices are theirs, not ours.

How long we keep it

A request record — what you asked for, when, and who we introduced you to — is kept for two years, then deleted. We keep it that long so that if you come back and ask what happened, we can tell you. You can have it deleted sooner by asking. Deleting your dashboard account does not automatically delete a request record, because the two are separate; ask for both if you want both gone.

Deleting your account

There is a delete option on your dashboard. It removes your account, your email address, your address if you gave one, your home profile, every reminder and its history, and your alert settings — and it signs you out everywhere. It is not a flag on a row we keep; the records are deleted.

You can also remove just your street address and keep the account, since the address is stored on its own.

Three things outlive that delete, and they are worth naming rather than leaving you to discover. If you asked to be told when the dashboard launched, that signup is a separate record and is not removed by deleting an account — ask and we will delete it. If an email to you ever bounced or you marked one as spam, we keep the address on a do-not-send list, because the alternative is emailing you again. And a project brief you started at /start/ is stored separately from accounts entirely. Ask for any of them and they go.

What this page is not

This is a plain description of what the site does today, kept deliberately short so it stays accurate. It is not legal advice and not a comprehensive policy. As Texas Home Intelligence adds features that handle more of your information — a home profile, or alerts tied to an address — this page will be rewritten before those ship, not after.
